Refund policy

At Mattress Central, we believe in making your shopping experience as simple and transparent as possible. Our policies are designed to protect both our customers and our service standards while keeping expectations clear from the start.

Defects and Damages

If any item is delivered damaged, defective, or incomplete, Mattress Central will correct the issue within a reasonable timeframe.

Any damage to product or property must be noted on the delivery manifest at the time of delivery and reported to the store within 24 hours. Claims not reported within this timeframe may not be accepted.

Return & Exchange Policy

Standard Returns

Mattress returns are permitted within 30 days of purchase under the following conditions:

You must be the original purchaser
A mandatory 30% restocking fee applies
A minimum transportation fee of $49.99 applies if pickup is required
Law tags must be attached
Product must be in clean, sanitary condition and free of any misuse, abuse, contamination, or staining of any kind
For orders outside our local delivery area, additional return shipping or transportation fees may apply

Bedding, pillows, accessories, furniture, and other personal-use items are final sale once opened.

Refunds are processed after return and inspection of merchandise.

Comfort Exchanges (120-Night Trial Period)

Mattress Central offers a complimentary comfort guarantee on all new mattresses. You may exchange your mattress one time within 120 nights of delivery if you are not satisfied with your comfort. Comfort exchanges are subject to the following conditions:

You must be the original purchaser
Law tags must be attached
Product must be in clean, sanitary condition and free of any misuse, abuse, contamination, or staining of any kind
Price differences apply to any product upgrades or downgrades
Comfort exchanges apply to comfort preference only; size changes are not permitted
For orders delivered outside our local delivery area, customer may be responsible for return shipping and/or additional transportation costs associated with exchanges

Bedding, pillows, accessories, furniture, and other personal-use items are final sale once opened.

Boxspring & Foundation Exchanges

Boxspring and foundation height exchanges are not part of the comfort trial but may be accommodated as a courtesy for local customers. A $49.99 transportation fee applies to all box spring and foundation exchanges. Items must be clean, undamaged, and in new condition.

Policy Exclusions

These exclusions automatically void eligibility for warranty, return, and exchange:

Merchandise missing its law tag
Floor models, display models, clearance items, as-is merchandise, and special orders
Products that are contaminated, exposed to unsanitary conditions, or affected by pest infestation—including but not limited to staining of any kind, bed bugs, insects, mold, mildew, or other environmental contaminants—or located within or originating from an environment where such conditions were present

Important Notes

Adjustment Period

It is normal for your body to require time to adjust to a new mattress. During the first few weeks, your mattress may feel different than expected as both your body and the new materials adapt. New mattresses often feel firmer initially and will gradually soften as they break in after initial use. Most manufacturers recommend allowing up to 30 nights for proper adjustment. Many customers find that comfort improves significantly during this period as the new materials settle and your body acclimates to the new level of support.

Proper Support Requirements

For optimal performance, your mattress must be used with a proper, supportive foundation or base. Support requirements may vary by manufacturer; please refer to the applicable brand guidelines for specific requirements. The support system must be structurally sound and provide adequate, even support across the entire mattress surface. Using an improper, unsupportive, or worn foundation can negatively affect comfort and durability. Use under these conditions may cause permanent damage to your mattress and may void eligibility for returns, exchanges, or manufacturer warranty claims.
